Does 2003 SP2 resolve the "ID no: c10308a2" Exchange error caused by SP1
Can anyone confirm that2003 SP2 resolves the 'An Exchange server could not be found in the domain. Check if the Microsoft System Attendant service is running on the Exchange Server. ID no: c10308a2 Microsoft Active Directory - Exchange Extension' I have read KB article 905809 - though we are about to roll out SP2 to all our DC's and Exchange servers and would like to know if this SP will rtesolve this issue? Any help is appreciated!

Hi, According to the article you mention its a permissions issue - not a problem fixed by a hotfix or a service pack. Leif

Leif I had the same error message, but as Leif stated - it was a permissions error. I added myself to the "Exchange Permissions Admin" group - logged off and back on again and I was able to continue! I hope this helps. Verrona

SP2 does not resolve the problem. We've been on SP2 for a while and just starting having this problem on a member server running Exchange 2003 Administrative Tools only. I used the permissions tools from article 905809 but it didn't work. That article refers to SP1 being the initial instigator of the issue because of the way it handles permissions. But it obviously carried over to SP2. I still haven't resolved the problem. I have found that the first email address can be created, but if you try to add an additional address or modify an existing address (primary or otherwise), you cannot do it. I'll share if I find a resolution, but at this point, I have not. Thank you!!
